When I try to add a category menu item, there are no categories in the dropdown box when I try to add a category menu item. It is a large category tree of around 1600 cats.

Please make sure the “Include in Navigation Menu” option of the root category equal “YES”. If the problem not solved, please email me the access info to your backend and ftp. I will arrange the time to help you checking the issue.

I’m glad it to hear that. About the user manual, we sorry that we not done it yet. But you can checkout our live demo. You will see the most common menu types such as:
1, Single dropdown
2, Multi Columns
3, Mega + form
4, Metro Menu
5, Full width dropdown

Again, this demo page is all you need. After checking the frontend appear, you can go to backend to see how we build the menu.
